thank u for the photos

“be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. and the point is to live everything. live the questions now. perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer. perhaps you do carry within yourself the possibility of shaping and forming as a particularly happy and pure way of living; train yourself to it - but take whatever comes with great trust, and if only it comes out of your own will, out of some need of your inmost being, take it upon yourself and hate nothing.”

today

these are pictures from my drive around town today. i just can't possibly take enough pictures of the sky here. i love the bridges in tempe over the lake which has currently gone missing. yes, the tempe town lake has disappeared. i made my mom turn the car around when i noticed a black building all alone on the side of the road with a cows head attached to it. she wants to go back and eat at the little aqua mexican restaurant, however under current az conditions, i think there might not be any more employees. i tried to capture the big white castle as we drove by and ended up with just green cactus streaks, but it somehow just feels right when i look at it. that castle was always such a mystery to me as a kid. the bottom picture i took a few blocks from my old house in tempe next to buffalo exchange. i really like the view of the palm trees from the ground. and bill johnson's, well that place is just classic. you should have seen the front of the restaurant... google it. its amazing.
